KEROSINE stands for Knowledge
Economy and Regional Strategies
for Organisational and Sustainable
Innovation.
KEROSINE is a research project which tries
to capture the causes and consequences of the ongoing process
of economic globalisation. The main aim is to map the organizational
evolution to which the Flemish economy is subjected as a consequence
of its insertion in the globalization dynamics. This organizational
evolution implies a restructuring of value chains, in which
the production of a considerable amount of goods and services
is offshored and/or outsourced. The concrete task of the KEROSINE
team is to quantify and qualify the evolution and consequences
of economic globalisation. An important feature of this research
project is also its focus and applicability on the Flemish
economy: one of the main goals is to inform relevant and strategic
stakeholders in order to give opportunities to strengthen
the Flemish economy in a globalised competition.
This website contains information on the
rationale, the empirical strategies and the valorization
potential of the project and other issues such as publications,
news
and events.
This project is funded by the Institute
for the Promotion of Innovation by Science and Technology
in Flanders.
